Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional freight delivery routes
- Manage daily route planning, loading/unloading, and delivery documentation
- Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure DOT compliance
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time service
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and fuel savings
- Submit accurate trip reports and expense documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for seamless freight coordination
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Proof of commercial insurance and DOT medical certification
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic accounting knowledge for independent contractor responsibilities
- Reliable personal box truck (24-26 ft) in good mechanical condition
