Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce bus safety protocols and manage student behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and district safety standards
- Report maintenance issues and complete daily trip logs
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchair lifts if applicable)
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage student safety during transit
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (training provided)
- Flexible availability for morning/afternoon shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent
