Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Maintain a positive and orderly environment on the bus
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and special needs accommodations
- Complete accurate daily attendance and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (training available)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
