Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate attendance logs and route documentation
- Follow strict safety protocols and traffic laws
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond calmly to emergencies and student needs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (minimum 1 year)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain DC CDL Class B with P endorsement (training provided)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
