Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and commercial addresses within the Virginia Beach area.
- Ensure all packages are delivered in perfect condition with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Inspect delivery vehicle for cleanliness and mechanical issues before and after routes.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices for navigation, scanning, and proof of delivery.
- Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations to maintain a perfect safety record.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any delivery issues professionally and promptly.
- Keep the delivery vehicle and uniform presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Reliable personal vehicle (sedan, hatchback, or cargo van) in good working condition.
- Access to a smartphone with data capabilities (iOS or Android).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of the Virginia Beach area and navigation apps.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
