Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety equipment is functioning correctly.
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities, adhering strictly to established routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all students while managing passenger behavior with patience and authority.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators, parents, and dispatch regarding student needs and any route deviations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no major moving violations within the last three years.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to student safety.
