Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities, adhering to all traffic laws and district routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment inside the bus at all times.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, enforcing safety rules and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school staff, and parents regarding student schedules and any issues.
- Assist students in loading and unloading the bus, ensuring they are safe at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undergo a physical examination and drug testing.
