Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on assigned routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness/maintenance logs
- Implement student management protocols ensuring a secure and positive environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding route updates
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Respond proactively to emergencies and unexpected route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional safety record and defensive driving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
