Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and on schedule to transport students to and from school.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment inside the bus at all times.
- Manage student behavior and ensure all passengers are seated and secured while the vehicle is in motion.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district transportation policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- A clean driving record with no major violations within the past 3-5 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
