Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following all traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes during weather/emergency situations
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Uphold strict safety standards for student loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Background check clearance per Texas education standards
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
