Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along designated routes in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers during boarding, disembarking, and while on the bus.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and clear communication with students, parents, and school administration.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and state regulations regarding student transportation.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the fleet manager.
- Maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (clean driving record required).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Excellent customer service skills and patience when interacting with children.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and occasional afternoons.
- Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
