Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely to transport materials (gravel, dirt, asphalt) to job sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate loading/unloading schedules
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Perform basic maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Support team members during peak demand periods
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating dump trucks or heavy machinery
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong understanding of local Wichita/Kansas roadways
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional overtime
