Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise students during loading/unloading and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Document student attendance and report incidents or maintenance issues
- Assist students with special needs and mobility requirements
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons
- Background check clearance required
