Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities on established routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance documentation
- Enforce student conduct policies and maintain a secure bus environment
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, school schedules, and emergency protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and transportation staff
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and accommodate special needs
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reporting records
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon hours
- Experience working with children/youth preferred
