Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Maintain orderly conduct on the bus following district policies
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff
- Manage emergency situations and student medical needs
- Complete daily route documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain CDL with P/S endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Patience and ability to work with diverse age groups
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
