Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver goods safely and on time to designated locations in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is secure.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Flexibility to work part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, or split shifts.
- Strong knowledge of local Philadelphia roadways and geography.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
