Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53ft dry van) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining DOT compliance
- Complete pre-trip inspections and log maintenance reports
- Navigate Chicago metro routes using GPS and route optimization tools
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delays or route changes
- Maintain clean driving record and safety documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Familiarity with Chicago-area highways and delivery zones
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to work independently in overnight conditions
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement protocols
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
