Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Load/unload cargo safely and verify shipment documentation
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Report accidents or incidents immediately per company policy
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area roadways and regulations
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight trips
