Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to transport freight across the San Antonio region and beyond.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and securing methods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and basic maintenance.
- Excellent time management and navigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as required by operational needs.
