Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and logbooks in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and safety culture at all times.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road or local driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) available for inspection.
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (e.g., DUI, Reckless Driving).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
