Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive tractor-trailers and box trucks efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations during weekend shifts.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring all freight is secure and in pristine condition upon arrival.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues to maintain fleet reliability and compliance.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, bills of lading, and delivery receipts in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery points, resolving any issues professionally and courteously.
- Route Adherence: Follow assigned routes and schedules strictly to ensure on-time performance and optimize fuel efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional capacity.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination certificate.
- Endorsements: Hazmat endorsement (Preferred) and Tanker endorsement (Preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use handheld electronic devices for navigation and reporting.
