Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary documentation.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and cargo handling procedures.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Excellent time management skills and problem-solving abilities.
