Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and designated activities in a timely and courteous manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and mechanical reliability.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, enforcing school district safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators, dispatchers, and parents regarding schedules and delays.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Report any discipline issues or safety concerns immediately to school administration.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure fitness for duty.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with students and parents.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
