Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during loading, unloading, and the route.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and safe.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT).
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, maturity, and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a physical examination.
