Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student boarding/allogation procedures with clear communication
- Enforce bus rules to ensure passenger safety and compliance
- Report maintenance issues and accidents immediately to supervisors
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- School Bus Driver (S) endorsement or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 21 years of age with 3+ years driving experience
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
