Responsibilities
- Transportation: Safely transport medical specimens, documents, and equipment to designated healthcare facilities within a strict time window.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and safety protocols during every delivery to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked delivery vehicle at all times.
- Tracking: Verify and scan delivery packages using handheld devices and update real-time tracking systems.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients upon arrival, ensuring a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and delivery receipts accurately and efficiently.
- Pre-Trip Checks: Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before each shift.
Qualifications
- License: Valid driverβs license and a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations).
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills with a proven track record of punctuality and reliability.
- Technology: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with mobile scanning applications.
- Schedule: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Professionalism: Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
