Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Operate a company or personal vehicle to transport medical specimens and sensitive materials in a secure and compliant manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and chain-of-custody paperwork for all deliveries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is clean and in proper working order before each route.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company policies, and HIPAA guidelines regarding patient privacy and safety.
- Communication: Interact professionally with medical staff, patients, and clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Time Management: Efficiently plan routes to meet strict deadlines for time-sensitive medical deliveries.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no more than 2 minor moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Previous experience in delivery, courier services, or logistics is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld scanners, GPS navigation systems, and mobile apps.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability: Must be available for a set schedule, including some weekends or early mornings.
