Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, documents, and equipment between medical facilities, laboratories, and hospitals.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.
- Verify patient and specimen identities using handheld scanners, proof of delivery apps, and physical documentation.
- Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle and adhere to all vehicle safety regulations.
- Complete daily logs, mileage reports, and digital delivery confirmations accurately.
- Follow strict timeframes to meet critical hospital drop-off schedules and laboratory deadlines.
- Handle confidential materials with discretion and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Proficient smartphone usage for scanning, navigation, and communication apps.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and strong time management skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate urban routes efficiently.
