Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within the New York City area.
- Obtain signatures and proof of delivery for all packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues courteously.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and personal appearance.
- Utilize mobile apps to update delivery status and communicate with dispatch in real-time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Access to a reliable, insured, and registered vehicle suitable for local deliveries.
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly during shifts.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
