The Role:
We are seeking energetic and responsible individuals to join our delivery team. As a Driver, you will be the face of MetroHaul, ensuring our customers receive their packages safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within the New York metro area.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or photos upon completion of each delivery.
- Collect payments in cash or process card transactions using the company mobile app.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Report any vehicle issues, delivery exceptions, or safety hazards to the dispatch team immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid Social Security Number.
- Smartphone with data capabilities (iOS or Android) for navigation and app access.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of the New York City geography and traffic patterns is a plus.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
