Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation (DVIR, Bills of Lading).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (Class B often required for local delivery).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
