Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds) during overnight hours
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and California state transport laws
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Optimize routes to meet tight delivery windows
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
- Flexibility for occasional weekend shifts
