Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight to designated locations in Nashville and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and within weight limits.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving practices.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the past three years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
