Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across the Boston metro area and surrounding regions.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Massachusetts roadways and traffic patterns.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
