Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight carefully to prevent damage, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks, delivery receipts, and inspection reports accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record while navigating various road conditions and terrains.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- A clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years (MVR required).
- At least 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor on-the-road troubleshooting.
