Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van/refrigerated) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Load/unload freight with precision and efficiency at NYC distribution centers
- Maintain meticulous trip logs and vehicle inspection reports
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and NYC traffic protocols
- Communicate dispatch updates via telematics systems
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle safety inspections
- Collaborate with dock teams for streamlined loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional night shift driving experience
- Knowledge of NYC boroughs and delivery routes
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- HAZMAT certification (preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
