Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van reefers) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and retail locations across LA County
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adapt to dynamic traffic conditions and delivery schedules in urban environments
- Ensure secure cargo handling and temperature-controlled integrity for sensitive freight
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with Los Angeles County roads and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic navigation skills with GPS technology and route optimization tools
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong time management and communication skills
