Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van and refrigerated) for overnight deliveries across the Mid-Atlantic region
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning and on-time delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding shipment status and delays
- Complete electronic logging system (ELD) documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Hazmat materials preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of Philadelphia metropolitan area roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexibility to work variable overnight shifts (8-12 hours)
- Basic understanding of freight documentation systems
