Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on weekend routes (Friday-Sunday)
- Transport freight between Charlotte, NC and Georgia distribution hubs
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery and fuel efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Georgia route experience preferred but not required
