Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Transport medical specimens, documents, and supplies to designated healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, labs) safely and securely.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict HIPAA privacy standards and company protocols regarding chain of custody and handling of bio-hazardous materials.
- Tracking: Utilize handheld scanning devices (Zebra/Symbol) to ensure accurate delivery tracking and provide real-time proof of delivery.
- Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and fuel efficiency of your vehicle and company equipment at all times.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with hospital staff and dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or special handling instructions.
- Documentation: Collect and verify necessary paperwork for each delivery and ensure digital logs are updated accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (MVR).
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs comfortably on a regular basis.
- Availability: Strong time management skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Technology: Reliable smartphone with data access for GPS navigation and scanning apps.
- Character: Professional demeanor, punctuality, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
