Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation and delivery manifests
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient materials
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to hospital staff and clinic personnel
- Utilize GPS routing software for efficient Baltimore-area navigation
- Respond promptly to urgent specimen pickup requests
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking apps
- Reliable transportation to Baltimore depot locations
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
