Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver medical specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples, to laboratories and medical facilities in Virginia Beach.
- Maintain strict adherence to chain-of-custody protocols and patient confidentiality standards.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices to log proof of delivery and time-stamp activities accurately.
- Adhere to temperature control requirements for specific medical supplies and samples.
- Uphold a professional image when interacting with patients and medical staff at various locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with handheld scanners or mobile devices.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
