Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between healthcare facilities, labs, and distribution centers
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Document all deliveries with digital tracking systems and maintain accurate logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain strict confidentiality
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while prioritizing patient needs
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and resolve delivery issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDL preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling procedures
- Pass background check and drug screening
