Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport equipment
- Resolve delivery exceptions through proactive communication with stakeholders
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and time management
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Certification in biohazard handling and HIPAA compliance preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
