Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic tracking of all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Handle urgent medical deliveries with time-sensitive precision
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical or specialized courier services
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and operate temperature-controlled units
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance understanding
