Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals to and from medical facilities in Santa Ana.
- Maintain strict temperature control standards for sensitive medical cargo using insulated containers.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Update delivery logs and tracking systems in real-time to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Handle interactions with healthcare professionals and clients with the highest level of professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or medical courier services is preferred but not always required.
- Familiarity with the Santa Ana area and local traffic patterns.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
