Responsibilities
- Securely pick up and deliver medical specimens, lab results, and medical equipment to hospitals, clinics, and laboratories within the Philadelphia area.
- Strictly adhere to chain-of-custody protocols to ensure the integrity and safety of all medical materials.
- Utilize handheld scanners and mobile technology for real-time tracking, proof of delivery, and digital logging.
- Verify patient identity and accurately document delivery logs to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness, perform daily pre-trip inspections, and maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and demonstrate professional demeanor at all times.
- Resolve delivery issues efficiently and communicate any delays or road hazards immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C or higher) and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening and criminal history.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Proficient with mobile devices, GPS navigation systems, and handheld scanning technology.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional appearance.
