Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and biohazard safety procedures during handling
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety checks and routine maintenance reporting
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Manage time-sensitive routes efficiently to maintain delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving or medical courier experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate healthcare facility layouts
- Proficient with GPS navigation and delivery tracking software
