Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab materials with strict adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining temperature control requirements
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Verify recipient information and handle medical waste disposal per regulations
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for real-time route optimization and status updates
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare partners during pickups and deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in medical courier, healthcare logistics, or similar field preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and biohazard handling procedures
- Strong time management and navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a plus
- Background check and drug screening required
