Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab results, and pharmaceuticals safely and securely to designated medical facilities, labs, and hospitals.
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols, including proper handling of biohazardous materials and temperature-sensitive items.
- Utilize handheld scanners and delivery management software to track packages in real-time and update delivery statuses.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle, including regular washes and pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
- Verify delivery accuracy by obtaining digital signatures and confirming receipt with the receiving personnel.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a safe driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and healthcare partners regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3-5 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with handheld scanning devices.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting packages up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Must be available for shifts, including early mornings and occasional weekend work.
